Perspectives from ISB

In 2011, Professor Sarang Deo joined ISB as permanent faculty, coming here from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. At a PGP Admissions information session that we hosted recently in Pune, he shared his story about why he chose to come to ISB. He also spoke about what PGP aspirants can expect from the one-year programme and advised them on how to make the most of the opportunities it would provide. I am happy to share a 15-minute excerpt from the talk here: Prof Sarang Deo’s Advice to Prospective Applicants

Professor Sarang Deo in class

Among the many things Professor Deo spoke about, I want to specifically highlight the point about faculty bringing their original research to the classes at ISB. If you want to know how valuable this is, you can read more about how faculty research is done. It may interest you to learn about the rigour and extremely high standards that research-oriented schools like ISB demand from their faculty. Needless to say, this plays a huge role in helping you achieve your learning goals.

If you would like to attend an information session, do register for an event happening in your city. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the school and the programme, interact with faculty and/or alumni, and get insights on how you can prepare a strong application. At the session, you can also meet members of the Admissions team and get answers to any questions you may have. I look forward to seeing you there!

All the best!
