Perspectives from ISB

Nalin Jain, PGP Alum, Class of 2002 was on campus recently.

In an hour-long interaction session with the current Class, he shared insights about his journey post-ISB and his passion for the aviation industry.

Nalin was a Mechanical engineer from NIT, Surat. He started off his career with Saint-Gobain where he worked as a project manager for over eight years and realised he needed a break from work and consolidate his learnings.  He shares his story of why he chose ISB’s One year PGP and how the programme was a fit for his career goals.

Nalin says that his key take-aways from ISB were – the network, knowledge and most importantly how to synthesise and process information.

Post ISB, Nalin joined Bombardier as the Director of Global Partnerships and then moved on to GE aviation. He is currently the President and CEO at GE Transportation (South Asia)

He concluded the session with his 3 mantra’s to success –

  1. Stay a curious learner

  2. Be flexible and ready to take risks

  3. Build and develop your team – their success is your success

Here is a recording of an interview with him.
