Wanda Group is a Chinese conglomerate and China’s biggest private property developer. It is owned by Chinese billionaire Wang Jianlin, whose other assets include a 20% stake in Spanish football team Atletico Madrid, as well as the Ironman Triathlons. He founded the company in 1988 and according to Forbes is now worth $28.3 billion dollars, making him China’s richest man.

International Hospitals Group (IHG) is a healthcare service company headquartered in Buckinghamshire, UK. Founded in 1978 it is a second-generation family business, owned by the King family. Since its formation, IHG has generated sales of over US$2 billion and has directly recruited and trained over 10,000 staff.

Recently, China’s Wanda Group signed an agreement with the British company International Hospital Group (IHG) for a 10-year multi-project global partnership worth £1.7 billion. The partnership plans to build a 1000-bed hospital in Shanghai and two more in the cities of Chengdu and Qingdao.
