A family firm, Angels Costumes, celebrating its 175th anniversary received the BAFTA award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema on 14th<\/sup> February 2016.<\/p>\n

Since the emergence of cinema in the early 1900s, Angels Costumes has worked with some of the most iconic directors in the industry, including Alfred Hitchcock, Powell and Pressburger, David Lean, Richard Attenborough Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese. As well as a great many films and movie franchises, including the Carry On films, Bond, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter.<\/p>\n

Now in its 175th year, Angels Costumes is the World’s longest-established and largest professional costume house. Having become an integral part of the international film industry and the most well-respected and celebrated companies, the Angels Costumes collection spans over eight miles of hanging rails and is made up of over 1 million items.<\/p>\n
