The Indian School of Business (ISB) is conducting a two day capacity building workshop titled “Diffusion 2011” for staffs of non-profit/ development organisations in Hyderabad from on Dec 10-11, 2011. The workshop is being organised by students of the Net Impact Club at the ISB under the aegis of Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED). This is the second workshop being organised this year; the first one was organised on Oct 3-4, 2011 in Patna and was received very well.
The non-profit sector plays a vital role in addressing various socio-economic, cultural and political needs of India. However given the magnitude of the current and anticipated challenges in the country, there is a need for non-profits to re-examine their working context, and adopt innovative models and entrepreneurial approaches.
The programme has been launched with the objective to instill entrepreneurial approaches and management practices in traditional non-profit organizations. The workshop will provide a blend of case studies and lectures, encompassing various aspects related to governance, strategy, organisation building, marketing & branding, fundraising, revenue generation, innovation and new business models which will enable participants to better their performance.
